Intellectual Property Rights Department is an organizational unit of Macao Customs Service. Its main responsibility is to conduct operations aiming to prevent, combat and suppress illicit activities so as to safeguard the protection of intellectual property rights. The Department conducts criminal investigation and operations on activities infringing intellectual property rights. It also has responsibility to investigate and to apply administrative penalty on cases with regard to administrative violation of intellectual property rights.
